Set Up a Company
Use this page when creating a new Fugara company. If you are joining an existing employer or team, accept an invitation instead.
Before you begin
Decide whether the company will service many clients or represent one permanent site. This choice affects the navigation and cannot be freely reversed.
Choose the company mode carefully
Normal multi-client company
Choose the normal mode for an organ-service business or any organization that will keep records for more than one client. The company starts empty. You add or import clients after creation.
Single-client organization
Choose Single-client organization when the Fugara company represents one site, such as one church or venue. Fugara creates its single client automatically and hides client lists and selectors.
You may permanently change a single-client company to normal multi-client mode later. You cannot turn single-client mode back on, so do not choose it merely because the business currently has only one customer.
Create the company
- From first-time setup, choose Set up a new company. From an existing account, open Companies and choose Add Company.
- Enter the company name.
- Select Single-client organization only if the company is permanently centered on one site.
- Add the address and phone if useful for company records.
- Review the confirmation and confirm that this is a separate company.
- Choose a plan or continue with Free.
Plan selection is not required to begin. The plans displayed in Company Settings are the plans available on your Fugara installation.
Complete the minimum working setup
For a normal multi-client company, complete these steps in order:
- Add or import a client. A client name is enough to begin.
- Add an instrument to that client. Work cannot be scheduled or tracked without one.
- Add contacts if Fugara will send scheduling or invoice messages.
- Invite other people if anyone else needs access.
- Open Work Tracker and record a first task, or use Calendar to schedule a future visit.
For a single-client company, the site already exists as the one client. Open Overview, add its instrument, and continue from step 3.
The Dashboard shows the next required setup action. QuickBooks and FreshBooks appear under Optional Next Steps because neither integration is required to use Fugara.
Decide who prepares each stage
A useful division of responsibility is:
- Someone with company-wide access maintains clients, instruments, contacts, and schedules.
- The person doing the work uses Work Tracker or enters logs afterward.
- Someone reviews the completed session and prepares any report or invoice.
- An Administrator manages people, plans, integrations, and data transfer.
This is only a workflow, not a staffing requirement. One person can perform all four stages.
Free and paid features
Every company has the Free baseline. It includes company data export, accounting synchronization, pasted work-session import, one active service-report template at a time, and up to five company users including the owner. Pending invitations reserve seats.
Paid plans can add features such as company data import, manual-probe CSV import, access to probe history older than one year, removal of Fugara branding, or expanded team access. Any active paid plan also makes all active service-report templates available. The exact active features are listed under Company Settings → Billing & Plans.
