Heating, Cooling, and Visit Preparation
Use HVAC control on a client Overview or in Work Session Details to review and operate linked heating or cooling controls. Available actions depend on the site's system. You need edit access to change settings.
Link an existing site control
If Link HVAC control is available to you:
- Open the intended client and choose Link HVAC control.
- Enter a recognizable Name / zone, such as “Sanctuary.”
- Choose the System type and Model / control.
- Complete the connection choices provided by the person responsible for the site's heating and cooling.
- For an organUI connection, select the linked organUI server and thermostat. Thermostats must first be set up at the site; refresh the list afterward.
- Choose Link control, select the new control, and review its reported state.
If the system or thermostat is not listed, ask the site's maintainer to complete its setup. Use the controls offered for your installation.
Read and change current settings
- Choose the correct zone under Control.
- Choose C or F under Unit.
- Choose Refresh and check the connection status, reported time, room temperature, mode, and target. Automatic mode may show separate heat and cool targets.
- Under Action, choose the supported change you need.
- Enter the mode, temperature, heat/cool range, or fan setting requested.
- Choose Apply now.
- Check the result and refresh the reported settings.
Possible actions include Set mode and temperature, Set mode, Set temperature, Set heat/cool range, Set fan, and Resume thermostat schedule. Only supported choices appear. Changing the display unit converts the temperatures shown; it does not itself send a thermostat command.
Apply now changes settings at the client site. If Fugara says the command is queued, use Check command result before sending another one. A queued or accepted command is not confirmation that the thermostat has applied it. Offline / unknown means you should verify the site connection and reported state before proceeding.
Prepare a site before a visit
For scheduled work that is incomplete and has not started, you can arrange a setting to take effect before arrival:
- Open the visit's Work Session Details and find HVAC control.
- Select the control and enter the desired action and settings in the form.
- Under Preparation for this work session, enter Hours before visit. The form allows up to seven days ahead.
- Choose Save automatic preparation.
- Review the saved control, lead time, setting, and preparation status.
Use Save automatic preparation to schedule the change. Apply now sends the current form settings immediately. Preparation depends on the site's connection and automatic preparation service being available, so check its status before relying on it for a visit.
Recheck preparation after rescheduling or changing a visit. Use Disable preparation when the scheduled change is no longer wanted. Disabling a plan does not restore a setting already applied. If an error asks you to inspect the thermostat, check the site before enabling preparation again.
Hold settings throughout tuning
When you apply settings from an incomplete Work Session Details page, or automatic preparation applies them before arrival, Fugara holds those settings for that work session. There is no duration to enter. This works for both organUI-controlled thermostats and supported controls connected directly to Fugara through an API.
If a person or thermostat schedule changes the requested settings, Fugara detects the change and corrects it automatically. The HVAC card and Dashboard report the issue, including correction attempts. The issue remains visible after the settings match again. This monitors the requested thermostat settings, not whether the room has reached the target temperature.
The hold ends when the shared work session is marked complete. To stop earlier, click Release Fugara hold. Releasing leaves the current settings in place; use Restore previous settings separately if wanted. Ending a personal tracker does not end the shared work session or its hold.
Changes are detected periodically, so corrections are not instant. A disconnected thermostat, unavailable background service, or unconfirmed correction is shown as a problem. Unconfirmed corrections stop automatic writes; inspect the thermostat and apply the session settings again to re-arm. Fugara does not bypass equipment protections or protected provider events. A correction already in progress may finish after release.
Settings applied from the client Overview are monitored for 24 hours but do not start a work-session hold. Apply them from the work session to enable automatic correction.
Review settings after completing work
When completed work needs an HVAC review, the Dashboard shows Review / restore HVAC. The work details also show Remember to restore the HVAC settings. Ending a personal tracker is separate from completing the shared work session.
- Open the reminder and refresh current settings.
- Compare them with the previous settings saved for the visit.
- Choose Restore previous settings to replace the current settings with that saved set, or Keep current settings to leave them and dismiss the reminder.
- Confirm the choice and review the restoration status. If still pending, refresh and check the thermostat before assuming it is finished.
Fugara prompts for this decision; completing the visit does not automatically restore the thermostat. A saved set of temperatures may not include the thermostat's schedule. Use Resume thermostat schedule when available, or resume the program at the thermostat if needed.
Unlink a control
Review and restore any visit-related changes first. Select the control, choose Unlink, and read the confirmation. Removing the link is not a command to turn off heating or cooling.
