Monitoring Clients and Instruments

Monitoring combines readings from connected automatic probes and readings entered by hand. It is optional and does not prevent normal scheduling, work tracking, reporting, or billing.

Choose the monitoring method

  • Use an automatic probe for continuous temperature, humidity, electrical current/power, or differential wind-pressure readings.
  • Use a manual environment probe when a person records temperature and humidity occasionally.
  • Link organUI when a site's organUI installation should report its connection, control/blower power state, uptime, and capabilities.

You may use more than one method for the same client.

To receive dashboard or email notifications about these readings, see Monitoring Alerts.

An automatic probe must report to Fugara before it can be linked to a client.

  1. Install and configure the physical probe according to its device instructions.
  2. Allow it to send at least one report to Fugara.
  3. Open Probe Fleet using the gauge/thermometer shortcut at the top of the application.
  4. Choose Link Probe and enter its serial number.
  5. After Fugara recognizes the device, review its type, name, venue, display unit, update frequency, and calibration.
  6. Open the intended client and choose Overview.
  7. Under Link Automatic Probes, choose Link Probe and select the claimed device.

If the probe is not available in the client's list, confirm that it has reported, has been claimed in Probe Fleet, and is not already linked in a way that prevents the intended assignment.

Review Probe Fleet and settings

Use Sort in Probe Fleet to order devices by name, venue, serial number, or last update. Choose Refresh to check for a new report, and use the page controls for a long list. A device waiting for its first report cannot yet be edited.

The probe owner can choose Edit to set a recognizable name and venue, display units, update frequency, and screen rotation where supported, then choose Save Probe Settings. An environment probe uses Fahrenheit or Celsius; a pressure probe can use inches or millimeters of water. Calibration controls adjust how readings are interpreted. Keep the supplied values unless you have measured reference values or instructions from the person maintaining the probe.

Client links, probe settings, and alert rules are separate. Use the link's removal action on client Overview to remove an assignment. Read the confirmation before using Delete in Probe Fleet. Use Save alerts separately when changing company alerts.

Add a manual probe and readings

  1. Open the client Overview.
  2. Under Manual Environment Probes, choose Add Manual Probe.
  3. Give it a location-based name such as “Great chamber” and select its temperature unit.
  4. Open Monitoring.
  5. On the manual probe card, choose Add Data.
  6. Enter the observation time and at least one reading.

Use View Data to review, edit, or delete earlier readings. CSV export is available on Free. CSV import requires a plan that includes data import.

Export or import manual readings

On client Overview, find the location under Manual Environment Probes. Choose Export CSV to download that location's readings. To bring in readings, choose Import CSV and select the file for that location. An exported file is a useful example of the expected columns: observation timestamp, temperature with its unit, and humidity.

Check that the temperatures use the unit identified by the file and that the observation times represent the intended local times. Review the import result: Fugara reports the rows imported and any duplicate or invalid rows skipped. Return to Monitoring > View Data to check the result and correct individual observations. Do not assume every row was imported just because the file was accepted.

Read the Monitoring page

The top cards show the latest reading for each probe. The comparison chart shows temperature and humidity series over the chosen time range.

Environment cards show temperature and humidity; power cards show the available power/current readings and on/off state; pressure cards show wind pressure. Check the timestamp alongside a value before treating it as current. The comparison chart shows temperature and humidity, while the cards also let you review power and pressure probes.

  1. Choose a range preset or enter a custom start and end.
  2. Turn on Live for a rolling range that should refresh.
  3. Use the display controls to show or hide individual temperature and humidity series.
  4. Turn on Work sessions to place visit ranges on the chart.
  5. Choose Refresh after changing the range.

Free companies can graph probe readings collected within the past year. Older readings are not deleted. A paid plan with unlimited probe graph range can display the complete stored history in one range.

Under Display, use All or None as a starting point, then select only the probe measurements you want to compare. This changes the chart display, not the saved readings.

Compare with outside weather

Under Local weather, select Outside temperature, Outside humidity, or both. Review the reported location and weather resolution to understand the comparison. These are outside weather estimates, not a sensor inside the building.

If weather is unavailable, check the client address, try a different range, and choose Refresh. Your probe readings remain available even when outside weather cannot be loaded.

Use Probe Groups when several probes should be treated together in the monitoring display.

  1. Choose Add Group.
  2. Give the group a clear location or purpose name.
  3. Select its automatic and manual probe members.
  4. Save, then use the chart controls to review the grouped series.

Group probes only when the relationship will be meaningful to someone reading the chart later.

Use Edit to change a group's name or members. Delete removes the grouping; it does not replace the individual probe records. Group temperature/humidity series help compare related locations alongside individual readings.

Use readings with work and service reports

During a visit, record manual observations in the Work Tracker readings panel. The report editor does not collect a second copy of these readings.

Work Session Details shows conditions recorded during the work window. Accurate time logs help define that window. If no time entry exists, Fugara may not have a useful start-to-end period for the conditions display.

When a service report is published, Fugara resolves applicable automatic and manual readings for the linked work window and freezes them into that published revision. Later probe changes do not rewrite an earlier published report.

  1. Start organUI at the client site.
  2. Note the pairing code shown by organUI.
  3. Open the client's Overview.
  4. Under Organ Monitoring, choose Link organUI.
  5. Enter the pairing code and link the device.

The Overview then shows connection state, control and blower power, uptime, last heartbeat, capabilities, and recent power history. Use Unlink only when the device should no longer belong to that client.
